The Trenton Thunder stunned the Binghamton Mets with a 7-4 win, after Mark Cohoon threw a no-hitter through five. Catcher Austin Romine went 2-4 with 2 RBI and spoke after the game.
"Walks kill. You can never count this team out. This team is a big inning team. And I think hitting is contagious. Give a lot of credit to [Ray] Kruml there getting it started. That first hit is hard to get when you have a guy throwing like that [Mark Cohoon]."
Romine's at-bat in which he knocked in two runs to make it 6-4.
"They brought that guy in to get the walk. Bases loaded, no outs, I'm just trying to get a hit. Whether it's on the ground or in the air, I was just trying to get the run in. I stayed with my approach and try to do too much by pulling the ball or hitting a home run or anything. He threw a fastball away and I was lucky to get good wood on it."
